Four point contact ball bearings are radial single row angular contact ball bearings, the raceway used to support the role of the axial load in both directions. For specified axial loads, a limited radial load (→ bearing configuration design, load ratio) can be supported. This type of bearing compared with the double row bearing, occupying the axial space significantly reduced.

The inner ring is separated from the inner ring. This allows a greater number of balls to be loaded into the bearing, giving the bearing a higher load bearing capacity. The bearing is a separate design, that is, with the ball and cage components of the outer ring can be installed with two inner ring half ring.

Positioning slot
SKF four-point contact ball bearings can be configured in the outer ring positioning slot, to prevent rotation (model suffix N2). The position of the positioning groove is 180 °. The dimensions and tolerances of the positioning grooves are in accordance with ISO 20515: 2012, as listed in Table 2.
